About SVPIA

Named after the first Deputy Prime Minister of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport (SVPIA) is an international airport located in Hansol, 9 km north of central Ahmedabad.

The airport currently houses four terminals for domestic, international, secondary traffic, and cargo respectively. The airport has 45 parking bays, and both the international and domestic terminals have four aerobridges each. The airport has a single runway that is 3,505 meters (11,499 ft) long. SVPIA also boasts of premier passenger services and offerings including lounges, a variety of shopping and dining facilities, art experiences and more.

The airport is a testament to Ahmedabad’s emergence as an important economic and industrial hub in India. It is the second-largest producer of cotton in India, and its stock exchange is the country's second oldest. The boom in investments in Ahmedabad and the state of Gujarat have also opened up the economy and have created countless new opportunities for growth.
